After a week of dramatic and exciting competition, on the afternoon of April 13, the 2023 National Petanque Championship organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the General Department of Sports and Physical Training in Vung Tau City closed and awarded prizes.

As a result, athlete Huynh Cong Tam of the province excellently won the "double" of Gold Medals in both the men's singles and men's technical events. In addition, the Ba Ria-Vung Tau delegation also had 1 more Bronze Medal in the men's trio event won by athletes Pham Huu Long, Vo Dinh Dung, Nguyen Thanh Trong, Nguyen Van Trai.

This achievement helped the provincial petanque team rank third overall; the Army team ranked first with 2 Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals; the Tra Vinh team ranked second with 2 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal.
