The Secretariat expelled from the Party two former department directors.

On June 27, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong chaired a meeting of the Secretariat to review and discipline the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance and Mr. Huynh Van Tam, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, former Party Secretary, former Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Gia Lai province; Hoa Cong Hau, former member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Deputy Party Secretary, former Director of the Department of Health of Tay Ninh province.

After reviewing the proposal of the Central Inspection Committee, the Secretariat found that the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance for the 2015-2020 and 2020-2025 terms violated the Party's organizational and operational principles; violated Party regulations, State laws and working regulations.

This agency is also irresponsible, lax in leadership and direction, allowing the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance and many organizations and individuals to commit many violations and shortcomings in organization, personnel, management, use of finance, public assets, land, investment projects, and emulation and reward work.

The violations and shortcomings of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance for the 2015 - 2020 and 2020 - 2025 terms have caused serious consequences; internal disunity, weakening the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization, prolonged complaints and denunciations; risk of causing great loss and damage to the budget, state assets and capital of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, negatively affecting the reputation of the Party Delegation and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, causing public outrage.

During his tenure as a member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Gia Lai province, Mr. Huynh Van Tam had degraded in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.

During his tenure as a member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Department of Health of Tay Ninh province, Mr. Hoa Cong Hau had degraded in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; was negative, accepted bribes; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.

The violations and shortcomings of Mr. Huynh Van Tam and Mr. Hoa Cong Hau have caused very serious consequences, outraged public opinion, and negatively affected the reputation of the Party organization and local government.

Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violation; according to the Party's Regulations on disciplinary action against Party organizations and violating Party members, the Secretariat decided to issue a disciplinary warning to the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance for the terms 2015 - 2020, 2020 - 2025; and to expel from the Party Mr. Huynh Van Tam and Mr. Hoa Cong Hau.

The Secretariat requested that competent authorities take administrative discipline against the above collectives and individuals in a timely and consistent manner with Party discipline.
