On November 28, in the capital Baku of Azerbaijan, the Defense Ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye held a trilateral meeting to discuss military cooperation in 2024.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said the ministers shared views on the prospects of cooperation in the fields of military education, military medicine and other aspects of mutual interest.
The sides stressed the importance of collective efforts in the fight against regional security threats, expanding the scale of trilateral military exercises and training.
The Georgian Defense Minister thanked his Azerbaijani counterpart for chairing the meeting, noting that mutual respect, good neighborly relations and trust-based cooperation are of particular importance for regional security.
The meeting ended with the signing of a protocol on holding joint military exercises between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye in 2024.
On the sidelines of the event, the Defense Ministries of Azerbaijan and Georgia signed a military cooperation agreement for 2024.
According to Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze, the next trilateral meeting will be held in the country next year.
