An Giang fosters national defense and security knowledge for dignitaries and officials

On the morning of June 19, Long Khanh Pagoda (Khanh Hoa Commune, Chau Phu District, An Giang Province), the National Defense and Security Education Council of An Giang Province, in coordination with the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of An Giang Province, opened a training course on national defense and security knowledge (course 5/2023) for dignitaries and officials of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

Attending the training course were 100 Buddhist dignitaries and officials from places of worship in the province. The reporters introduced 8 topics on the Party's viewpoints and the State's legal policies on building a national defense, a national defense posture associated with people's security, a people's security posture; protecting political, economic, cultural and ideological security in the new situation; combining socio-economic development with strengthening and consolidating national defense, security and foreign affairs in the new situation; basic contents of the Law on Belief, Religion, National Defense, Cyber Security, etc.

The training course took place over 4 days, aiming to raise awareness of each dignitary and official, contributing to mobilizing, propagating and educating religious people to clearly identify their civic responsibilities in maintaining political security and social order and safety at the grassroots level, creating conditions for local socio-economic development, making an important contribution to the implementation of the two strategic tasks of building and firmly protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
