On the evening of March 22, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club came back to win 5-4 after being led 3-0 by their opponent from the UAE. This victory helped Doan Thi Kim Chi and her team enter the semi-finals of the 2024-2025 AFC Champions League Women's.
According to the organizers' regulations, they will randomly select players from both teams for doping tests after the match. The two players from the HCMC women's club are Chuong Thi Kieu and goalkeeper Quach Thu Em.
Center back Chuong Thi Kieu had a good match against Abu Dhabi Country. Kieu was the one who headed the ball to help K'Thua equalize 1-3. She was also the author of the equalizer 2-3 with a header in the 67th minute.
Playing aggressively as if she had never had surgery on both knees, Chuong Thi Kieu returned with great vigor. Her long passes helped the HCMC Women's Club launch counterattacks very quickly.
The other player tested for doping was goalkeeper Quach Thu Em. She had a perfect second half after psychological problems in the 3 goals conceded in the first half, although it was not her fault.
Thu Em is the replacement for goalkeeper Tran Thi Kim Thanh, who has moved to Thai Nguyen Club. The goalkeeper born in 1995 also plays professional futsal for the Vietnamese women's team.
The best player of the match was K'Thua, wearing the number 11 jersey. K'Thua only played for 45 official minutes of the second half. She was not tested for doping like her two teammates Thi Kieu and Thu Em who played the full 90 minutes.
