On the morning of October 19, the European Education Week took place in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, attracting 5,000 students and parents to register to attend.
The European Education Week is organized by the Delegation of the European Union and the embassies of EU member states in Vietnam. The program takes place on October 19 and 20, including the European Education Fair and Erasmus+ Vietnam Day.
Nearly 5,000 students and parents learn
The festival attracted 60 universities from EU countries such as France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Spain, Sweden...
In addition, the festival also held a discussion session with the participation of European businesses, providing useful information on developing skills and career opportunities at businesses for European students when they return to Vietnam.
Hoang Kieu Bich Ngoc (student of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City National University) learned about the festival through social networking sites and went with her friends to find out more information.
"I came to learn about studying for a master's degree in France and development opportunities. I was consulted about the study program, scholarship policies and certificates at the school" - Bich Ngoc said.
Nguyen Minh Khoi (student at RMIT University) shared: "I am still a student but I still want to find more suitable opportunities. Although I do not have a clear goal for studying abroad, I came to the fair to get advice. If I see a school with good policies, I will keep in touch to learn more."

Variety of choices
Nguyen Khanh Quoc (student of Marie Curie High School, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) said he was very surprised to see many universities from many European countries at the festival.
"I am looking at schools related to diplomacy and schools that teach languages and politics in France. I am looking for an environment that suits my economic conditions. Paris is too expensive, so I will choose the southern region of France.
"I can cover my living expenses, explore many languages in many cultures and make many new friends. At the festival, I gained a lot of new knowledge at European universities, and brought that knowledge back to share with my classmates," Quoc confided.
Mr. Ton Long Hiep (Binh Tan district) said he took his daughter to learn about schools in Finland and Germany because of the language convenience.
"This fair is very flexible, children and parents can come to learn and exchange information directly. We can ask many questions and get answers about many study programs, tuition fees, and career opportunities instead of looking on the website" - said parent Hiep.

Learning exchange to come up with solutions to climate change
Mr. Julien Guerrier - EU Ambassador to Vietnam - commented that the cooperative relationship between the EU and Vietnam is strong, deep and comprehensive.
"The world is facing challenges such as climate change, security issues, and must keep up with new technology that requires highly skilled and qualified managers, scientists, and experts. This can be achieved through study abroad, which is what studying abroad in Europe can bring," said Mr. Julien Guerrier.
Mr. Julien Guerrier also believes that studying in Europe not only helps international students bring valuable knowledge accumulated in the classroom back to Vietnam, but also gives them valuable experiences in academic choices, affordable costs, and cultural exchange.
