Ngoi Sao Hoang Mai High School announced the enrollment of 350 10th graders for the 2025-2026 school year. Registration starts from December 2nd until the enrollment quota is met. The registration fee for 10th graders at this school is 500,000 VND/student.
According to the announcement, the school has 4 admission methods, including: direct admission, capacity assessment test, consideration of entrance exam results for specialized high schools and consideration of 10th grade public exam results organized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.
In particular, the school directly admits students who have won first, second, or third prizes in the 9th grade excellent student contest in Math, Literature, English, Natural Science, and Information Technology at the district level or higher; have won awards equivalent to first prize or gold medal in sports or arts at the city level or higher; have been excellent students for 4 years at the secondary school level; have won the cup in the World Scholar's Cup debate contest or have won a bronze medal or higher in some online math contests...

The direct admission exam will be held from December 2024 to February 2025. Candidates applying for direct admission must have a letter of recommendation from a teacher and an essay about themselves in Vietnamese or English.
Candidates who register for admission through competency assessment will participate in the Hoang Mai Star Scholarship exam on March 8, 2025. Students studying in grade 9 at Hoang Mai Star Secondary School will be given priority to add 1 point/subject when considering admission.
Candidates applying for admission based on the exam results to specialized high schools must ensure that their entrance exam scores are 2 points lower than the announced standard score.
In addition, the school considers the public 10th grade exam results according to the formula: Admission score = [(Math score + English score) x 2] + Literature score.
Nguyen Sieu Secondary and High School accepts applications for grade 10 admission from December 9 for students currently in grade 9 at the school and from March 17, 2025 for students from other schools for grade 10AE (Intensive Academic English class).
The school has another registration period in July 2025, for students who apply with the results of the public 10th grade exam organized by the Department of Education and Training.
In addition to the top priority group of students studying at the school, Nguyen Sieu Secondary and High School gives priority to other groups, including: Students with Cambridge English, IELTS, SAT, AP certificates that are above their age level, students with other international certificates certified by universities, prestigious international organizations recognized by the Department of Quality Assessment, Ministry of Education and Training; excellent students at district, city, national levels, students who have won awards in arts and sports.
Newton High School opens the registration portal for 10th grade admission for the 2025-2026 school year for both campuses at Hoang Quoc Viet and Ho Tung Mau. Admission methods include taking a direct test at the school and participating in an interview with teachers.
The entrance exam registration fee for the semi-international program is 500,000 VND/student, for the Cambridge program and the American bilingual program is 1,000,000 VND/student. If the student fails the first interview, there will be no fee for registering for the second interview.
At the Vietnam-Australia Inter-level School, although there is no detailed enrollment information yet, parents and students can access the school's registration link to fill in information and wishes for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year.
Last year, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training did not allow private schools to organize their own entrance exams, but only considered transcripts or public 10th grade exam results. All schools applied the transcript-based admission method, while more than 40 schools also used Hanoi's public 10th grade exam results.
However, in reality, schools still organize competency assessment tests or combine interview and talent selection methods to ensure input quality.
