The breath in Do Anh Tuan's desire and longing is not only biological to sustain life but also a hidden communication between the photographer, the subject and the viewer.
In the past two years, everything in Do Anh Tuan's eyes has been nothing but endless black. This cruel incident has made the so-called "breath" in the artist increasingly flare up, stir and crave. He does not want to fall into oblivion or be a blind man waiting to die.
Photographer Do Anh Tuan does not consider photography as a profession but a career that requires effort and perseverance to pursue.
The Breath exhibition includes 27 large-scale works and a number of medium and small-sized works. The works mainly revolve around two genres: street photography and nude art.
Experts always pay special attention and comment that photographer Do Anh Tuan's images are always expressed in a profound, ornate and conceptual way.

Photographer Do Anh Tuan always tries to adapt to his new life. Thanks to the way he builds ideas and shapes photos in his imagination before taking the picture, his colleagues have nicknamed him "the person who takes pictures with his head".

Before taking pictures, he would prepare ideas and layouts so that when he started taking pictures, he could present them. Sometimes, he would take a piece of paper and sketch out images roughly. With his constant creativity and the help of his students, the finished works of art were born.

Photographer Do Anh Tuan does not consider photography as a profession but rather a career that requires effort and hard work. With all his enthusiasm and passion, he always tries to renew his photos, hoping that these works will have a positive impact and convey positive things to the community, helping social life become more civilized and artistic.
Writing about photographer Do Anh Tuan, art critic Pham Long commented: "Knowing how to play with cameras since the age of 14, Do Anh Tuan's journey in the world of photography over the past 60 years has truly been an experience of looking at the world around him and feeling about the life within himself.
Not following formalism, his photography style is very diverse, multi-style but still tight in concept. Not tying himself to the intention of taking a photo of something but taking a photo to express something, his perspective on photographic practice is very close to Ansel Adams: "A photo is not an accident - it is an idea".
Mr. Luu Quang Anh, Deputy Head of the Criticism Theory Department (Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists), who used to work with photographer Do Anh Tuan, shared that when talking about Do Anh Tuan, people know him as a comprehensive photographer with a deep understanding of basic techniques, good control of equipment, film development skills, and making black and white photos in the darkroom.
Do Anh Tuan is also one of the few people in Hanoi who has opened a photo gallery in the middle of the luxurious Trang Tien street, inside displaying all his black and white masterpieces. From a theoretical and critical perspective, Do Anh Tuan is well-versed in Eastern and Western art photography schools, as well as having a thorough understanding of photojournalism, and is capable of analyzing, commenting and writing like a professional journalist. He is also an audiophile, but for him sound is not a destination but a means to help him listen to music professionally.
"Do Anh Tuan also reads a lot. That is the valuable knowledge of a photographer, something that many people who are called or claim to be artists or photographers today cannot reach, even though they may win many awards," Mr. Luu Quang Anh expressed.
With a strong romantic and talented personality, for Do Anh Tuan, photography is not a game without rewards or punishments but a chosen destiny. That is why he always tells his students: "There is one thing that photographers must keep in mind, that is the humanity of the moment of pressing the shutter."
That is not the declaration of "an ethicist of frames", but simply his belief in the principle of "shooting" with an inner eye, or more precisely, needing to analyze things subtly, deeply but no less witty and tactful.
