On the morning of September 10, at Dien Hong Hall, the National Assembly House held the first mock session of the "Children's National Assembly" - 2023. Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attended and delivered a speech after the end of the mock session.
The first mock session of the "Children's National Assembly" in 2023 was chaired by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, in coordination with the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education and the National Assembly Office.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attended and gave a speech after the end of the "Children's National Assembly" mock session.
The meeting had 263 outstanding child delegates from 63 provinces and cities, along with the Organizing Committee, the Advisory Board of the meeting, members of the Standing Committee, leaders of departments and units of the Central Youth Union; Standing Committees of provincial and municipal Youth Unions; and Councils of Young Pioneers of provinces and cities.
The program is one of the specific tasks and solutions at the Central level to implement the Project "Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union promotes children's participation in children's issues for the period 2023-2027" issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth Union on August 8, 2023.
This is a new model of activity that promotes children's right to participate in child-related issues in accordance with children's psychology and abilities, creating conditions for children to develop their capacity and skills to present their opinions, views, perceptions and participate in the decision-making process on child-related issues.
Through activities that help children experience and learn about the highest state power apparatus, the National Assembly, it continues to affirm the attention of Party, State and National Assembly leaders to the work of protecting, caring for and educating children, promoting the role of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union as an organization representing the voice and aspirations of children.

At the Mock Session, child delegates were given the opportunity to pretend that they were National Assembly delegates participating in the National Assembly Session to discuss two topics: Protecting children from healthy and creative interactions on the Internet and preventing injuries, violence and child abuse.
After the Mock Session ends, representatives of the Government and ministries will make speeches to acknowledge, encourage and exchange information with child delegates .
