Issuing Resolutions on high-level personnel appointments of the National Assembly

(NLĐO) - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has signed and issued resolutions on personnel matters of the National Assembly.

In Resolution No. 179/2025/QH15, the National Assembly resolved that the Standing Committee of the National Assembly (SCNA) of the 15th term would consist of 19 members, including: the Speaker of the National Assembly, 6 Deputy Speakers of the National Assembly, and 12 members of the SCNA.

In Resolution No. 182/2025/QH15, the National Assembly resolved that the following members of the 15th National Assembly would be appointed as Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly: Mr. Le Minh Hoan, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee; and Mr. Vu Hong Thanh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly.

In Resolution No. 183/2025/QH15, the National Assembly resolved that Mr. Phan Van Mai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, would hold the position of Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, 15th term.

In Resolution No. 186/2025/QH15, the National Assembly resolved on the officials holding the positions of Chairmen of the Committees of the 15th National Assembly. Accordingly, Mr. Hoang Thanh Tung, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and Member of the 15th National Assembly, was appointed Chairman of the Law and Justice Committee of the National Assembly.

Mr. Phan Van Mai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee, and Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City, has been appointed Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee of the National Assembly.

Mr. Le Tan Toi, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and Member of the 15th National Assembly, holds the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and Member of the 15th National Assembly, holds the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society.

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Head of the Committee on Delegate Affairs under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and Member of the 15th National Assembly, holds the position of Chairperson of the Committee on Delegate Affairs of the National Assembly.

Mr. Duong Thanh Binh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Head of the People's Petition Committee under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and Member of the 15th National Assembly, holds the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on People's Petitions and Supervision.

In Resolution No. 180/2025/QH15, the National Assembly resolved to relieve Ms. Nguyen Thuy Anh, a member of the Central Committee of the Party, from her position as a member of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly to take on the role of Standing Member of the Economic and Social Subcommittee of the 14th Party Congress.

These resolutions will take effect from the date they are voted on and passed by the National Assembly, which is February 18, 2025.

The aforementioned personnel restructuring was carried out after the National Assembly reorganized and streamlined its apparatus. Accordingly, after the reorganization, the National Assembly reduced the number of committees by four and upgraded two departments under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to committees directly under the National Assembly. Some committees ceased operations, transferring their functions and responsibilities to the remaining committees.
