China's Lu Jingang is a professional actor, but for the past 12 years his main income has been pretending to be a beggar at scenic spots in Henan province.
Lu's area of operation is Qingming Shanghe Park. On average, Lu earns 70,000 yuan (more than 240 million VND) per month, not including donated food.
According to Time Doctor - a time management and productivity app for individuals and companies, the average monthly income of Chinese people is about 29,000 yuan. That's why many people call Lu "China's richest beggar" or an individual with a top income in the country.

This man explained that he chose this job because he liked performing but did not need to audition or roll around on set. Lu's family initially did not support this choice, but when they saw the "huge" income, they gradually accepted it.
After 12 years of acting and winning the hearts of many people, Lu became famous on social media platforms. His carefully rehearsed acting, professional costumes, and compassionate pleas made many tourists voluntarily give him money.

Lu’s high income from pretending to be a beggar has sparked debate on social media. While many praised his creativity, some advised him to find a real job instead of taking advantage of the kindness of the community.
"Even though I have a stable income, I advise people not to come to Qingming Shanghe Park to try their luck because they might have difficulty competing with my well-rehearsed performance," Lu said.
