"Greening" materials - how Essensia Sky creates sustainable value

Aiming for sustainable living, Phu Long strives to “green” Essensia Sky - the focal point of the green area in the South of Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to shaping new sustainable construction standards.

Located on Nguyen Huu Tho Street (District 7, 5 minutes drive from Phu My Hung), Essensia Sky is a "bright spot" in the Vietnamese real estate market when the developer cultivates green and sustainable living values.

New initiative to green buildings

According to a report by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the construction industry accounts for 39% of global CO2 emissions, and about 11% of this comes from the production of key construction materials, including cement. To protect the environment, reducing carbon emissions in the cement production process is urgent.

Many real estate developers in Vietnam are actively looking for solutions to reduce CO2 emissions, from using green materials to taking advantage of natural resources throughout the life cycle of the project. Among them, carbon mineralized concrete is a new initiative in the construction sector.

This technology is based on the principle of mixing carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air or emissions into concrete in the form of calcium carbonate, causing CO2 to be "trapped" permanently in the concrete structure. MIT research shows that the carbon mineralization process can absorb up to 15% of the total CO2 generated from cement production, thereby significantly reducing the carbon footprint of concrete. Not only does this reduce greenhouse gases, this initiative also helps reduce the need for cement without affecting the mechanical properties of concrete such as structure and durability.

The carbon mineral concrete initiative is proof that green solutions for the construction sector are becoming more concrete and accessible. This new material is also gradually becoming popular in the world and is being used in a number of real estate projects in Vietnam. Notably, Essensia Sky - the first twin tower of the Essensia South Saigon complex in Dragon City - developed by Phu Long.

Essensia Sky - green and sustainable real estate project

With the desire to bring a happy home - a place to nurture the soul and promote health values for the community, Phu Long has created Essensia Sky based on a set of sustainable standards.

Accordingly, the investor applied CarbonCure technology with carbon-absorbing concrete in the building's structural body, helping to reduce carbon emissions during the construction phase. When put into operation, sustainable concrete can also eliminate thousands of tons of carbon emissions compared to conventional materials, bringing the equivalent effect of hundreds of thousands of trees in 10 years.

In addition, the project uses environmentally friendly paints, contributing to ensuring the health of residents. The safety glass door system helps limit noise and reduce heat, creating a quiet, cool space needed for family members to rest and recharge.

If green building materials help developers minimize carbon emissions from the start, then applying offset measures is the next step to complete the goal. Efforts to reduce construction density, increase green space, water surface, design to receive more natural light to reduce energy use... have been put forward by developers since the project planning process.

Happy residents live in a sustainable environment, applying technological conveniences with green solutions, drinking water filters at the tap, solar lights in public areas... bringing a sustainable, modern and safe living experience to all residents.

Under the talented hands of architects from Tange Associates (Japan), Essensia Sky apartments are designed based on the criteria of harmony with nature, diverse layout, square, floor height up to 3.4 m, all apartments have 2 - 4 wind-catching sides, like unique "sky villas", private and filled with natural light.

To complete the sustainable green living ecosystem, the investor integrates a chain of 50 utilities at the doorstep, fully meeting the needs of health care, sports, entertainment and relaxation for residents of all ages. In particular, the project dedicates up to 70% of the construction area to the utility system and multi-layered green space - something very few projects can possess.

The salt electrolysis infinity pool is also a green, healthy solution that Phu Long invests in for residents of Essensia Sky.

In fact, the vision of sustainable development always comes with many challenges. But for Phu Long, these investments are necessary to promote the trend of green construction and environmental protection in the real estate sector in Vietnam, extending the journey of creating sustainable values for the community. Above all, this is a "passport" for Phu Long to approach real estate development criteria according to international standards, aiming to conquer the most demanding customers in terms of not only quality, finance... but also sustainability factors.

On November 16, Phu Long Company officially opened Phu Long Pavilion business center to give customers the opportunity to learn about the company's projects developed across the country with different experiences, and at the same time "see" the Essensia Sky model home, the first green - healthy apartment in the Essensia South Saigon complex.
