Delegates from communes and towns in Vu Thu district attended a conference to remove difficulties in mobilizing the opening of accounts to receive cashless social security payments.

As of November 5, 10,009 accounts have been opened to receive social benefits, reaching 42.5% and 3,186 accounts to pay pensions and social insurance benefits, reaching 32.5%. In particular, some localities have achieved high results such as Vu Thu town and the communes of Minh Quang, Minh Khai, Dung Nghia, Song Lang...

Receiving payments through non-cash accounts allows recipients to receive money directly into their bank accounts without having to go to cash receiving locations, saving time and effort for both the recipient and the paying unit, and limiting negative aspects of social security work.

However, compared to the target assigned by the Provincial People's Committee, the above results are still low. To achieve the goal of having over 75% of people receiving social security payments through accounts by December 31, 2024, the District People's Committee requires strengthening the dissemination of benefits when opening an account to receive social security payments without using cash.

Mobilize mass organizations, especially relatives, to encourage social protection beneficiaries, meritorious people, pensioners, and social insurance beneficiaries to open accounts to receive payments.

Assign specific implementation progress to each commune and town; consider the results of mobilizing subjects to open accounts to receive non-cash payments as one of the criteria for emulation consideration.

Focus on removing difficulties and obstacles in the account opening stages of banks, and be flexible in implementing account opening procedures so that beneficiaries can feel secure and actively cooperate in implementation.
