Dienbien.gov.vn - On the afternoon of March 15, the delegation of the Thai Embassy in Vietnam led by Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam paid a courtesy visit to the Provincial Party Secretary - Tran Quoc Cuong.

Speaking at the reception, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong affirmed that the visit of Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya was an important activity contributing to promoting the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Thailand in general, the relationship between Dien Bien province and the Embassy, ​​as well as with partners in Northern Thailand in particular. On the occasion of the delegation's visit and work in the province, the Provincial Party Secretary briefly introduced the geographical location as well as the potentials and strengths for developing agricultural, forestry, tourism and renewable energy production of the province. In order to create human resources to serve the friendly cooperation activities between Dien Bien province and Thai partners, the province has developed a Human Resources Training Project in the Northern Thailand provinces, period 2016-2025. According to the Training Project, Dien Bien province will send 20 cadres and students to study at university and master's level in Thailand. Currently, Dien Bien province is cooperating with Udon Thani Raja Bhat University to implement the above Project. In the coming time, to implement the policy of continuing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation to further develop the relationship between the two sides, Dien Bien province hopes that the Thai Ambassador will pay attention to and support connecting businesses and investors in Thailand to survey, research and implement investment projects, and cooperate in the fields of trade and tourism in Dien Bien province; promote cooperation in the fields of agriculture, trade, tourism, etc.

At the courtesy visit, Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam thanked the warm welcome of the leaders of Dien Bien province. Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya also expressed her strong support for the increasingly strong development of the Thailand - Vietnam relationship in general, and Dien Bien in particular. At the same time, she made a number of proposals and viewpoints on measures to contribute to strengthening the relationship between Thailand - Vietnam as well as the people-to-people exchange between the two countries. Especially in the fields of eco-tourism and agriculture, one of the potential strengths of the province, this is a condition to attract Thai businesses to pay attention and invest in the province. She also hopes to soon open training courses on tourism and teach Thai language at the general level for cadres and students of Dien Bien province, thereby helping the province promote tourism development.

Regarding the idea of ​​organizing a bicycle tour from Dien Bien through Laos to Thailand proposed by Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong said that Dien Bien will soon send a working delegation to Thailand to visit and learn how to organize the above-mentioned tour model./.
