Accidentally picked up a broken necklace, unexpectedly it was a peerless treasure

A Polish farmer stumbled upon a 2,500-year-old treasure while clearing pastures to make it easier for his cattle to access water. Experts have identified it as a necklace from the Hallstatt culture.

Experts at the Institute of Archaeology at the Nicolas Copernicus University in Torún will conduct further analysis of the necklace before it is transferred to a museum for storage and display. They hope to unlock other secrets about this precious artifact. Photo: wildpoland.
