Today, September 5, Mr. Duong Van An, Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, attended, presented flowers to congratulate and encourage a number of schools in Vinh Yen City, including: Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted, Khai Quang Primary School, Khai Quang Secondary School. During this visit, Mr. Duong Van An said that the Provincial People's Council will soon include in the program to approve tuition exemption for students.
Mr. Duong Van An, Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, visited Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted on the opening day of the new school year.
After a period of talking and gathering information from schools and leaders of the Department of Education and Training, Mr. Duong Van An requested the education sector to have solutions and coordinate with localities in recruiting assigned teachers so that teachers can feel secure in their profession.
The Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee pays special attention to the construction of educational facilities, requiring the acceleration of construction progress and upgrading of school facilities to put them into use soon, creating the best conditions for students and teachers.
Affirming the province's special attention to the field of social security, in which education and training are considered the top national policy, Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van An informed about some major orientations of the province for the field of education and training in the coming time.
Mr. Duong Van An said: "In the near future, the Provincial People's Council will include in the program to approve tuition exemption for students. Thereby, helping families have better conditions to take care of their children and their daily spiritual life. At the same time, the province will continue to improve the quality of the teaching staff and pay attention to issuing support mechanisms for teachers who need to study to improve their qualifications."
According to Mr. Duong Van An, Vinh Phuc is a province with a large budget revenue, people have given up land to develop industry and build factories. Therefore, people must enjoy the fruits of the province's development.
Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van An also directed to review the student streaming rate after graduating from junior high school so that Vinh Phuc becomes a locality that trains high-quality human resources for the country. This also increases the opportunity for students to study at public high schools.
It is known that in the 2024-2025 school year, Vinh Phuc has nearly 370,000 students studying at more than 500 educational institutions. Before the new school year, the People's Council of Vinh Phuc province issued a resolution regulating tuition fees for public educational institutions in the area for the 2024-2025 school year. Accordingly, tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year in Vinh Phuc will decrease sharply, with some levels decreasing by up to 50% compared to the tuition fees applied in the 2023-2024 school year.
For example, last year, for primary, middle and high school students, Vinh Phuc set the highest tuition fee at 360,000 VND/student/month and the lowest at 100,000 VND/student/month. This year, the highest tuition fee for this group is 180,000 VND/student/month and the lowest is 60,000 VND/student/month.
