Writer Ho Phuong passed away at 8:15 p.m. on January 2 at his home in Hanoi at the age of 93. The information was confirmed by Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association Nguyen Quang Thieu.
"When I heard the artist Nguyen Thu Thuy, the writer's niece, announce it, a vast area of green grass suddenly appeared in my mind. Perhaps because his first work that was deeply imprinted in my memory was the work Green Grass, excerpted from a textbook when I was still in school. Whenever I think of him, a longing and endless area of green grass with his kind smile appears in my mind. And to me, he did not fly to heaven. He stayed on this earth in the green grass that reaches the horizon," poet Nguyen Quang Thieu expressed.
