VinFast's electric vehicle assembly plant is built in Subang - Indonesia's new industrial hub city, specializing in the production and assembly of models such as VF3, VF5, VF6 and VF7 with right-hand drive versions, suitable for the Indonesian market. At the groundbreaking ceremony, General H. Moeldoko, Chief of the Indonesian Presidential Office, said that the Indonesian Government always strongly encourages foreign investment, especially in the automotive industry. General H. Moeldoko acknowledged that the construction of the VinFast plant in Subang not only has a positive impact on the local economy but also creates many new job opportunities and improves the lives of the community. Meanwhile, Mr. Temmy Wiradjaja - General Director of VinFast Indonesia - said that just a few months after officially launching the brand in the market, the groundbreaking ceremony of the plant affirms VinFast's strategy of expanding and improving its competitiveness in the Indonesian market. Recently, VinFast has been promoting its presence in this market by selling two electric SUV models, the VF5 and VF e34, with right-hand drive versions, and opening dealerships, applying flexible sales policies and a unique battery rental policy. On the same day, VinFast introduced to Vietnamese customers an upgraded version of the VF8 electric car called the VF8 Lux. The car has two versions, the VF8 Lux and the VF8 Lux Plus, with battery rental prices of VND 1.2 and VND 1.3 billion, respectively. When buying a car with a battery, the prices of the two versions are VND 1.3 and VND 1.5 billion, respectively. VinFast VF8 Lux does not have many changes in its exterior. The new features of this upgrade are the two-tone roof and body, with up to 10 different colors available depending on preference. In addition, the new wheel design is more impressive. Notably, this upgrade is an improvement in software. Accordingly, VF8 Lux applies technology to make conversations between people and cars smarter when the voice-controlled virtual assistant integrates Generative AI technology.
