The foreign emergency project is a national key project aimed at building a modern, synchronous foreign emergency system, contributing to improving the quality of medical emergencies and increasing access to emergency services for people nationwide.
Vingroup has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to pilot a national emergency response project with four localities: Hai Phong, Ha Tinh, Khanh Hoa and Kien Giang.
Vingroup Corporation announced a sponsorship of VND1,000 billion to support the implementation of the project in the 2025-2030 period; at the same time, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to pilot the project with four localities: Hai Phong, Ha Tinh, Khanh Hoa and Kien Giang.
Accordingly, Vingroup will synchronously deploy many activities to accompany the Ministry of Health and localities to improve the quality and operation of the outpatient emergency system, increasing access to emergency services for people.
Specifically, Vingroup will support and invest in upgrading emergency equipment, specialized ambulances, training medical staff, rescue forces and the community in first aid techniques, sponsoring training equipment and a number of other items.
The Group will also consider investing in installing automatic defibrillators (AEDs) at important public places such as train stations, wharves, airports and schools, helping to increase the chances of survival for cardiovascular stroke cases according to the Ministry of Health's policy.
In addition, Vingroup will also participate in supporting the construction of a communication and emergency coordination system, facilitating rapid connection between emergency units and hospitals.
Highly appreciating the activities of Vingroup Corporation and the Ministry of Health in implementing the project, speaking at the workshop, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan affirmed: "For many years, the Party, State, Government and the Ministry of Health have paid great attention to emergency, intensive care and anti-poisoning work in hospitals, including outpatient emergency care, considering outpatient emergency care a very important task of the health sector. I request the 4 provinces selected for the pilot to seriously coordinate with the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management and Vingroup Corporation to implement the project quickly and effectively. At the same time, the Department needs to absorb opinions from the workshop, organize in-depth conferences in each field to complete the project".
Professor, Dr. Tran Van Thuan - Deputy Minister of Health highly appreciated the activities of Vingroup Corporation and the Ministry of Health in implementing the project.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang (Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup) emphasized: "As a business that always puts social responsibility first, Vingroup wishes to accompany the Ministry of Health and localities in improving the quality of out-of-hospital emergency services. We believe that with thorough investment in an advanced emergency system, people will enjoy fast and effective medical services, contributing to minimizing risks and improving the quality of community health care."
In Vietnam, there are about 1.2 million accidents and injuries each year, including more than 10,000 deaths or sequelae due to lack of timely emergency care. The need to improve pre-hospital emergency care capacity for the majority of people, especially frontline forces and armed forces, is especially urgent when continuously having to respond to large-scale natural disasters and epidemics.
Vingroup’s cooperation with the Ministry of Health in implementing the foreign emergency rescue project is an important step forward in the strategy of providing health care and emergency rescue to the people, opening up hope for survival and safety for millions of people in the future. This is also a meaningful and humane activity, affirming Vingroup’s social responsibility and spirit of serving the community, which has always been consistent since its establishment.
