GreenUP Marathon - The Finish Line is Where It Begins
The GreenUP Marathon - Long An Half Marathon 2024 conveys the message "The finish line is the beginning", meaning: this finish line is the beginning of the next finish lines.
More than just a race, GreenUP Marathon is also a journey to inspire spirit, will and determination to overcome oneself.
The race will take place on August 24, 2024, in Can Giuoc district, Long An province. The race is expected to attract more than 4,000 athletes participating in three distances: 5km, 10km and 21km.
Athletes will run on the green route, imbued with the riverine character of the Southwest region.

Along with exploring the new running route, through Long An international port, admiring the tallest flagpole in Indochina and admiring the majestic scenery of the East Sea, GreenUP Marathon 2024 promises to bring athletes extremely unique and impressive running experiences.
In addition to the prizes for the best individuals in each distance, the best athlete in the 21km distance (first male & first female) will receive a special prize: a plane ticket and a ticket to participate in the Laguna Phuket Marathon 2025, in Thailand.

Going beyond the racetrack, GreenUP Marathon brings together the running community, creating and spreading green and sustainable values.
The race emphasizes the maximum use of recycled materials, from construction materials at the construction site such as scaffolding, cover nets, to race-kits... to minimize the use of disposable materials, aiming to protect the environment.
Specifically, the race-kit is made from materials such as: nano-air weaving fabric shirts with 100% recycled materials from plastic bottles and plastic shells, medals from recycled alloys, and canvas bags... The products all express a "green" and trendy spirit with designs and stylizations imbued with the character of the Mekong Delta.
By participating in GreenUp Marathon: Long An Half Marathon 2024, runners will become ambassadors to spread green lifestyles and contribute to the GreenUP Marathon tree planting fund. At the same time, the race will accompany Long An province in child care activities through practical and meaningful activities.
