On the afternoon of July 22, Thien Nhan Hospital coordinated with the Vietnam Association of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine to organize a scientific seminar on the topic: "Update on early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer - the leading dangerous disease for women". The seminar aims to update new trends and apply modern technology in screening and diagnosing breast cancer, thereby providing better conditions for treatment and improving disease prognosis.
The workshop was attended by nearly 20 leading experts including professors, associate professors, doctors, and more than 200 delegates, doctors, technicians... interested in the field of breast cancer in the Central and Central Highlands regions.
Through 14 formal reporting sessions, 4 discussion sessions, direct questioning with experts and 2 Hands on sessions, the conference updated the latest advances as well as achievements and challenges in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Ngo Duc Hai, General Director of Thien Nhan Hospital and Head of the Organizing Committee, shared that breast cancer occurs in every country, at any age, and the incidence of the disease increases over the years.
According to the World Health Organization, in 2020, there were 2.3 million women with breast cancer and 685,000 deaths globally. In Vietnam, breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, with an average of 15,000 new cases each year and a mortality rate of about 35%.
