Major General Hoang Dan (former Commander of Division 304) experienced many fierce battlefields, from Quang Tri in 1972 to the Ho Chi Minh Campaign in 1975. He was not only a talented commander but also a father and husband with deep love for his family.

In a letter to his wife during the war, he wrote: "I have to go fight so that my children don't have to fight anymore..." That sentence not only shows the determination to fight but also contains the silent sacrifice of soldiers for future peace.

Not only was he a brave warrior, Major General Hoang Dan was also a man with a rare optimism. His son, Hoang Nam Tien, recalled: “My father fought from 1946 to 1989, for more than 40 years without being injured. He believed that my mother’s kindness and tolerance helped him overcome the bullets and arrows...”. It was that strong belief and steadfast spirit that helped him overcome many harsh challenges of war.

In addition to authentic battlefield stories, the book also helps readers better understand the art of war, organization, command, and the sense of responsibility of leaders. Lessons on tactics and flexible response to harsh conditions are shown through each page. The book also depicts the deep camaraderie and close bond between soldiers in the midst of war, thereby highlighting the value of solidarity and loyalty.

The book is expected to be released in April, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

Sharing about the book, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien emphasized: "You are holding in your hands a book written by my father about a heroic period of the nation - the years 1974-1975, when the goal of liberating the South was placed at the highest level."

The book not only provides historical lessons but also helps the younger generation better understand the spirit of fighting and leadership. “We have to work faster than our competitors, we have to make the most of every hour. Therefore, I always say that for those who start a business, working 16-20 hours a day is normal...”, Hoang Nam Tien shared. Obviously, the leadership principles on the battlefield can be completely applied to today's business world.

From Ben Hai River to Independence Palace by Alpha Book Joint Stock Company is not only a work recording memories of war but also a treasure trove of knowledge about military art and strategy.
