Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Giap, Deputy Director of Bach Mai Hospital spoke at the Workshop. |
According to Director of Dao Xuan Co Hospital, it is undeniable that artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced technologies are gradually becoming indispensable tools in medical examination and treatment.
From helping to diagnose diseases more accurately, to developing personalized treatments and optimizing care processes, technology has been making important breakthroughs.
These advances not only improve the quality of medical services, but also create new opportunities for research and development of advanced treatments.
Further explaining the effectiveness of AI, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Giap, Deputy Director of Bach Mai Hospital, said that the Hospital has deployed a variety of non-cash payment methods such as static QR Code payment; Visa, Master card payment...; Payment via bank card issuance; Dynamic QRCode payment connected to medical examination and treatment software.
At the same time, Bach Mai Hospital continues to deploy a variety of QR on POS/Smart POS payment methods and implement direct advances at inpatient treatment units...
Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Giap also informed that the hospital has deployed software systems to serve Management, direction and operation; Asset Management and Financial Accounting; Deploying software on the hospital server system... Currently, the hospital is entering data throughout the hospital.
At the same time, this hospital has successfully piloted the disease in 6 units: Respiratory Center, Department of Dentistry, Department of Ophthalmology, Department of Ear, Nose and Throat, Department of Examination and Department of Dermatology & Burns.
This will also be the unit implementing the pilot model of digital transformation in deploying electronic health records on VNeID, implemented by the Ministry of Health in coordination with the Vietnam Social Security and the Ministry of Public Security. The hospital has issued regulations on the use of digital signatures and electronic signatures and is currently setting up digital signatures and electronic signatures for more than 1,500 medical staff.
"This contributes to simplifying administrative procedures, creating convenience for both doctors and people when going to see a doctor or receiving treatment," said Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Giap.
However, further analysis of the reasons for the pilot implementation of electronic medical records at only 6 units, Bach Mai Hospital said that due to old network infrastructure, low bandwidth, the hospital is using many softwares from different partners but not connected to each other to serve hospital management... human resources in information technology are still thin.
To overcome this situation, the hospital has implemented a digital transformation strategy based on three pillars: human resources, network infrastructure, software system (hospital management, electronic medical records, patient results, online medical examination registration).
