Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will issue adjusted land price list before October 15.

It is expected that on September 30, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment will submit the adjusted land price list to the Appraisal Council. The Council will appraise it before October 10 and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will issue the adjusted land price list before October 15.

This is the roadmap the city will implement to amend and supplement Decision No. 02 regulating the price list of land in use in the area.

This was agreed upon in principle by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on August 31. At the same time, on September 10, at a meeting chaired by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment with the participation of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, the Ministry of Finance, Justice, Construction, Planning and Investment and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, it was also agreed that the issuance of a land price list was necessary.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee affirmed that the construction of the adjusted land price list complies with regulations. Up to now, the city has completed all steps of preparing and approving the proposal for construction; drafting, widely collecting opinions and appraising the draft decision to replace Decision 02. The comments have been fully incorporated into the draft by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

Recently, Ho Chi Minh City has had a backlog of more than 8,800 real estate files pending processing related to financial obligations. These files have not been resolved because the tax authorities are waiting for instructions on new calculation methods after the 2024 Land Law and Decree 103/2024 take effect.

In order to avoid congestion in records and handling administrative procedures related to land, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has agreed to use the land price list issued under the 2013 Land Law as implemented before August 1. Land records in Ho Chi Minh City are applying the land price list according to Decision 02 issued since 2020.
