(NLDO)- Officials, civil servants, public employees and workers of administrative and public service agencies in Ho Chi Minh City will have 9 days off for the Lunar New Year 2025.
Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just announced the hanging of the national flag and the Lunar New Year holiday in 2025.
Accordingly, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations (hereinafter referred to as civil servants and public employees) will have the Lunar New Year holiday in 2025 from January 25 to February 2, which is December 26, the year of Giap Thin, to January 5, the year of At Ty.
This holiday includes 5 days off for Lunar New Year and 4 days off every week.

Agencies and units implementing the Lunar New Year holiday schedule must arrange and reorganize their departments to work properly to handle work continuously, ensuring good service to the organization and the people.
Agencies and units that do not have a fixed weekly Saturday and Sunday off schedule must base on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange a suitable and legal off schedule.
In case the employee is not a civil servant or public employee mentioned above, the employer decides to choose the Tet holiday option. Specifically, choose 1 day at the end of the year of Giap Thin and 4 days at the beginning of the year of At Ty or 2 days at the end of the year of Giap Thin and 3 days at the beginning of the year of At Ty or 3 days at the end of the year of Giap Thin and 2 days at the beginning of the year of At Ty.
Employers shall notify employees of the Lunar New Year holiday plan at least 30 days in advance. If a weekly day off coincides with a public holiday or Tet holiday as prescribed, employees shall be entitled to take a compensatory day off on the next working day.
Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee encourages employers to apply Lunar New Year holidays for employees as prescribed for civil servants and public employees.
For agencies, units, enterprises, schools, hospitals, armed forces units and households, the national flag is hung on the above holidays.
Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thu Duc City district, heads of agencies and units to mobilize, remind and guide the hanging of the national flag in residential areas and units under their management.
At the same time, arrange working departments reasonably to handle continuous work, ensuring good service to organizations and people. Arrange forces on duty to ensure security and order, fire prevention and fighting, safety of agencies, units, and public entertainment areas. Continue to guide, inspect, and supervise the implementation of disease prevention and control (if any) in the area and units under management according to regulations.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment presides over and coordinates with departments, agencies, and localities to mobilize people to maintain hygiene in residential areas, markets, schools, offices, factories, and roads; beautify office areas and townhouse facades; and continue to practice civilized urban lifestyles.
