“The players have shown solidarity, followed the tactics and were not afraid to clash with strong opponents. Of course, the team still has shortcomings, especially in the ability to control the tempo of the match and handle decisive situations. We will continue to analyze so that the players can improve,” said coach Dinh Hong Vinh.
On the afternoon of March 20, during a friendly match in China to participate in the CFA Team China 2025 international tournament, the U22 Vietnam team held the U22 Korea team to a 1-1 draw. Striker Thanh Nhan was the one who scored for U22 Vietnam with the opening goal of the match in the 77th minute. Throughout the match, U22 Vietnam implemented a good defensive-counterattacking strategy, minimizing the opponent's strength.
Unfortunately, U22 Vietnam could not preserve the score when they conceded a goal in the final minutes of the match, accepting the final result of 1-1. Holding a draw with a strong opponent like U22 Korea is still considered a positive result for coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team.
In the next match on March 23, U22 Vietnam will meet another very strong opponent, U22 Uzbekistan. According to coach Dinh Hong Vinh, this is an opponent with good physique, physical strength and technical playing style. U22 Vietnam will have to prepare carefully if they want to achieve good results.
“This will be a difficult match but it is also an opportunity for U22 Vietnam to continue testing new plans and perfecting techniques and tactics. We will make tactical adjustments and prepare the players professionally and mentally,” said Mr. Dinh Hong Vinh.
