The list of 24 selected players includes 3 goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 6 midfielders and 5 forwards. Thus, U17 Vietnam will bring 1 reserve player to Thailand. Before entering the 2023 AFC U17 Championship, the coaching staff will officially narrow the list down to 23 players as stipulated by the Organizing Committee.

It can be seen that these are the best players in the current U17 generation of Vietnamese football. Through training sessions, these players have demonstrated their abilities.
In addition, during the short training session in Qatar, U17 Vietnam also tested their strength with two friendly matches, drawing U17 Laos 0-0 and winning the host U17 Qatar 2-0. During the training session in Japan, U17 Vietnam had 3 matches with "blue teams" of increasing difficulty, respectively against Kaisenkan High School on May 25, U18 Honda FC on May 28 (both won with a score of 3-1) and Tokoha University on May 31 (drawn 3-3). And recently, U17 Vietnam lost 0-2 in a practice match with U17 Yemen at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC).
List of teams participating in the AFC U17 Championship
According to the draw results, U17 Vietnam is in Group D including U17 Vietnam, Japan, India, Uzbekistan. At this year's finals, the teams will compete in a round robin to calculate points. The top two teams in each group will advance to the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals will take place on June 25 and 26, the semi-finals will take place on June 29 while the final will take place at 7:00 p.m. on July 2. The four teams in the semi-finals will qualify for the U17 World Cup.
According to the arrangement of the Organizing Committee, U17 Vietnam will play all 3 group stage matches at Thammasat Stadium at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan's team will have their opening match against the lightest opponent, U17 India, on June 17, then face U17 Japan (June 20) and U17 Uzbekistan (June 23).
