On May 17, the Department of Education and Training (DoET) held a ceremony to honor excellent students who won national high school awards and teachers who participated in training students who won national high school awards and students who won awards in the provincial-level competition for excellent middle and high school students in the 2023-2024 school year. Attending were comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, Fatherland Front, unions, and provincial-level units.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, awarded certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 1 collective and 54 individuals with outstanding achievements in the national high school excellent student selection competition and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the national high school science and technology competition. The Director of the Department of Education and Training awarded certificates of merit, along with bonuses and certificates to 392 students who won prizes in the provincial high school excellent student selection competition for the 2023-2024 school year; including 20 first prizes, 81 second prizes and 291 third prizes.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee congratulated and commended the students who won prizes in the national and provincial competitions for excellent students in cultural and technical subjects in the 2023-2024 school year; hoping that every year the ceremony will have more and more students honored; at the same time, he requested all schools and teachers to regularly pay attention to and attach importance to the training and fostering of excellent and gifted students, considering this a key task of collectives and individuals. In the teaching and learning process, it is necessary to promptly detect, proactively foster, regularly innovate teaching methods, and focus on developing the qualities and personal abilities of each student.
