After 4 years of implementing the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households in the period of 2021 - 2025, Tuyen Quang province has so far built and repaired thousands of houses for people. This year, the whole province aims to eliminate 6,928 temporary and dilapidated houses with a total support budget of over 343 billion VND.
Identifying the elimination of temporary and dilapidated housing as a key content to help people improve their lives soon and gradually escape poverty, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels in Son Duong district has coordinated with Party committees and authorities to focus on reviewing and compiling a complete list of poor households living in temporary and dilapidated houses that need support to renovate and repair their houses.
In communes, wards and towns, the screening and statistics process is carried out publicly and transparently through village meetings, activities of mass organizations, and direct meetings with poor households to listen to their thoughts and aspirations. Through social networking platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, the local Fatherland Front has promoted and mobilized agencies, units, businesses, families, clans and communities to participate in helping with labor and materials to support poor households in building houses. The "3 together" activities with the people have also been promoted by agencies and units to directly mobilize and support poor households in renovating and repairing houses.
With the spirit of drastic participation of the entire political system and the solidarity of the people, over the past 3 years, the entire Son Duong district has supported the construction and repair of more than 2,300 houses for poor households, policy households and households with housing difficulties in the district with a total cost of over 123 billion VND. In 2025, Son Duong district is focusing on mobilizing resources and assigning responsibilities to each locality to resolutely complete the goal of building and repairing 397 houses for poor households, policy households and households with housing difficulties. It is expected that by the third quarter of 2025, the entire district will complete and accept and put 100% of the works into use.
In Na Hang district - one of the localities with a large number of temporary and dilapidated houses that need to be eliminated. Out of a total of more than 1,000 houses that need to be built and repaired, only 186 have been completed so far. In the first quarter of 2025, Na Hang district started construction of all remaining houses. In order to speed up the implementation progress, local authorities have deployed many synchronous and flexible solutions to remove obstacles in residential land and support capital to help people build houses. In addition to the State's support fund of 60 million VND, local authorities have instructed people to borrow more from the Bank for Social Policies or from national target programs. Local human resources are also mobilized to support each poor household in the process of building houses. The whole district strives to complete the elimination of all temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households in the area by the end of August 2025.
Mr. Le Ngoc Tan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province said that implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 102 dated October 6, 2024 and the Prime Minister's Conclusion Notice on promoting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, the Provincial Steering Committee for Elimination of Temporary and Dilapidated Houses has agreed to complete the disbursement of over 197 billion VND in support for 3,709 households in the first quarter of 2025. Strive to basically start construction of all 3,219 houses that have received support for repair and new construction by the end of the second quarter of 2025.
To complete the set goals, with the role of chairing, negotiating, coordinating, and unifying actions, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels assigned member organizations to be in charge, closely following each village and household to implement tasks and solutions to help poor households build and repair houses. In the process of implementing financial support for building houses for poor households, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees and district-level agencies and units agreed on the number and list of poor households to avoid duplication of subjects and sources of support. The whole province set a target that by August 30, 100% of the works will be completed and put into use.
