Thanh Thanh Phat Passenger Transport Company Limited is the operator of this route.

The vehicle used is the Phu Quy Express high-speed boat with a capacity of 374 seats, which will officially operate from March 28, with a maximum of 1 trip/day.

Route, the ship departs from Saigon Port (District 4, Ho Chi Minh City) or Con Dao Passenger Port (Con Dao district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) at 11:30.

Ships are allowed to pick up and drop off passengers at ports and wharves on the route including: Saigon Port (HCMC); Ben Dam Fishing Port or Con Dao Passenger Port (Con Dao District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau).

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport requires operating units to fully comply with regulations on maritime safety, fire prevention, environmental protection and ensuring passenger safety.

At the same time, the company must carry out all relevant procedures before operating the route, including declaring ticket prices.

Last May, the Department of Public Transport (at that time the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City) granted a license to Phu Quoc Express Boat Joint Stock Company to operate the express boat route from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao. However, after operating for 2 months, the company announced that it would stop operating.

The reason given by the company is that the route exploitation process has not achieved the desired efficiency, the number of passengers per trip has reached less than 50% of capacity.

Along with that, people complained about having to travel to Saigon - Hiep Phuoc port to board the ship, this location is nearly 20km from the center of Ho Chi Minh City, inconvenient for passenger transfer.
