At the construction site, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport Luong Minh Phuc reported to the Chairman of the City People's Committee that the project's progress has so far reached 65% of the volume.

According to Mr. Phuc, on the occasion of the April 30 holiday, the investor will organize the opening of two tunnel branches connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway and Giong Ong To Street to help reduce traffic through the area.

In addition, the construction of Ba Dat Bridge and Giong Ong To Bridge has reached 90% of the construction volume, and the unit is completing the asphalt concrete paving work. In the near future, vehicles will be able to conveniently go through the underpass to the Saigon River Tunnel.

At the same time, when this intersection is completed and My Thuy intersection is completed, it will create ventilation to Cat Lai port, plus the groundbreaking of Lien Cang road, expansion of the expressway connecting road... will help the eastern gateway of the city to be clear in the future.

According to the Director of the Traffic Department, the entire An Phu intersection project is planned to be completed by the end of 2025, but currently the construction site for the N1.2 branch connecting Luong Dinh Cua street is still stuck.

Specifically, the project needs about 22,000 m2 of Nguyen Hoang Street for construction, but this land belongs to Thu Thiem Company and has not been handed over. Currently, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has proposed to separate it into a separate project and the investor will return the money to the city.
