Accordingly, in 2025, the University of Electricity will enroll university students in 4 ways: Admission based on candidates' high school academic results (academic transcripts); combined admission based on international English certificates combined with the academic results (academic transcripts) of the remaining 2 subjects in the admission group; admission based on candidates' results in the 2025 high school graduation exam organized by the Ministry of Education and Training; direct admission according to the regulations in the current admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The University of Electricity is a public university under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The school sets out its development roadmap and goals: To be a multidisciplinary public university, training high-quality human resources; scientific research, technology development, policy consulting, knowledge transfer, especially in the field of energy, contributing to the construction, development of the country and international integration.
Meet the development requirements of the industry and the country
Speaking to reporters, the Principal of the University of Electricity, Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Van Chau said: In 2025, the school has opened a number of new majors to closely follow the policies and orientations in socio-economic development of the Party, the Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. According to the draft of the Adjustment of the National Power Development Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, (Power Plan VIII), it is expected that by 2030, to meet the double-digit growth target, the economy's electricity demand will be 3 times higher than present (about 84,000MW), will be 240,000 - 250,000MW and ensure national energy security.

As one of the key training institutions of the industry and the country in developing human resources for the energy sector in general and the electricity sector in particular, with the long tradition and role of the University of Electricity in training high-quality human resources, the University of Electricity always affirms and is responsible for meeting the demand for quantity and quality of human resources to ensure the success of the VIII Power Plan in particular and energy security in general.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Van Chau said that, on the above basis, the University of Electricity has reviewed, improved, updated, and supplemented training programs in the direction that learners can access modern knowledge, integrated in the context of the digital transformation revolution, the 4.0 industrial revolution as well as meeting the role of intelligence and modernization of the electricity industry.
In previous years, the school focused on recruiting students for 19 undergraduate training programs, of which more than 2/3 were training programs in the fields of technology and engineering. From 2025, the number of training programs at the University of Electricity will increase to 32, including many new majors that meet the country's development requirements in the new era such as: Data science, artificial intelligence, robotics, computer engineering, semiconductor materials and microchips, automotive technology... In particular, starting from 2025, the school will reopen the nuclear engineering training program and organize enrollment.

To meet the needs of 32 training majors, the school has a policy of upgrading teaching and learning equipment, expanding and modernizing, upgrading laboratories and practice rooms in the next 5 years with about 1,000 billion VND.
