Headquarters of the Bank, Tax, and Regional Treasury are located in Thai Nguyen province.

According to Decree No. 29/2025/ND-CP stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Finance, which has just been issued by the Government, the Tax Department, the Customs Department and the Vietnam Social Security will operate at 3 levels.

Accordingly, Decision No. 381/QD-BTC of the Ministry of Finance clearly states that the Tax Department is organized from the central to local levels according to a 3-level model: Tax Department, branches and tax teams. Local Tax Departments are organized in 20 regions, headquartered in provinces and cities such as: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Son La, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Long An, Ben Tre, Can Tho, Kien Giang. Tax Department of Region VII, management areas include: Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, headquarters located in Thai Nguyen province.

Similarly, for the State Treasury, there are 20 regions nationwide, Treasury Region VII, the management area includes the provinces: Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, the head office is located in Thai Nguyen province.

After restructuring the State Bank's apparatus, the model of State Bank branches in provinces will be reduced from 63 to 15. Regional Bank V, including 6 provinces: Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Bac Kan; headquarters located in Thai Nguyen province.

Thus, there are 3 units: State Bank Region V, State Treasury Region VII and Tax Department Region VII with headquarters located in Thai Nguyen.

The Customs Branch is also organized into 20 regions. The Customs Branch of Region V, the management area includes the provinces: Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan, with headquarters in Bac Ninh province. Before the arrangement according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, Thai Nguyen Customs Branch was still under the Bac Ninh Provincial Customs Department.
