VHO - The exhibition aims to introduce, promote and honor the country's cultural and natural heritages, historical relics, landscapes and unique tourism products; affirm the potential for cultural and tourism development among localities nationwide, create a strong driving force to attract resources for tourism development, and enhance the image of the country and people of Vietnam.
On the afternoon of November 23, at the Nghe An Provincial Cultural Center, the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Colors of cultural heritage, nature and traditional Vietnamese handicrafts" took place.
Attending the opening ceremony were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong; representatives of leaders of units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; leaders of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sectors, Cultural Centers, Tourism Promotion Centers; representatives of museums from the following provinces and cities: Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Bac Ninh, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Can Tho City, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, Nghe An.
The exhibition “Colors of cultural heritage, nature and traditional handicrafts of Vietnam” is chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the People's Committee of Nghe An province, and related agencies and units, taking place from November 22 to 26 at Ho Tung Mau walking street, Vinh city, Nghe An province.
This is one of the cultural activities to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23), aiming to introduce, promote and honor cultural and natural heritages, historical relics, landscapes, and unique tourism products of the country and people of Vietnam; affirm the potential for cultural and tourism development among localities nationwide, create a strong driving force to attract resources for tourism development, and enhance the image of the country and people of Vietnam.
The exhibition held on this occasion also marks an important milestone on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs being recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (November 27, 2014 - November 27, 2024).
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized: “Along with promoting the unique values of typical cultural heritage, community cultural activities, sustainable eco-tourism, cuisine and local products of 20 participating provinces and cities across the country, the Exhibition also affirms Vietnam's great potential in tourism development. Vietnam is not only a country with a rich history and culture, but also an attractive destination with beautiful nature.
Aiming to promote and honor these values, we hope that the Exhibition will create a strong driving force to attract investment resources in tourism development, contributing to enhancing the position and image of the country and people of Vietnam in the eyes of international friends...".
At the Exhibition, visitors can admire the display areas with more than 300 artistic photos introducing tangible and intangible cultural heritages honored by UNESCO, historical relics, typical landscapes of Vietnam, and favorite destinations of tourists.
The products entered into the competition are diverse in materials, designs, types and have been carefully invested, so the quality is improved. Many art products have creative designs. One of the unique features of the products entered into the competition and won the prize this year is that the products have been made according to market tastes, are gift products, and have high applicability.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded souvenir logos to 35 units that made outstanding contributions to the Exhibition "Colors of cultural heritage, nature and traditional handicraft products"; awarded 5 First prizes, 11 Second prizes, 15 Third prizes and 30 Encouragement prizes for products participating in the "Vietnam Handicraft Products" Contest in 2024 - one of the activities at the exhibition.
