At the conference, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel Nguyen Huu Hoa read Decision 1368/QD-TTg dated November 14, 2023 on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, assistant to comrade Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly, to hold the position of Deputy Inspector General of the Government.
At the announcement ceremony, authorized by the Prime Minister; Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Inspector General Doan Hong Phong presented the decision, presented flowers and delivered a speech assigning tasks to the new Deputy Inspector General of the Government Nguyen Van Cuong.
Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong (45 years old) is a well-trained officer with a lot of practical experience, has a PhD in Economic Law, a Bachelor of Journalism, and a Senior in Political Theory.
During his career, Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong has held many positions in different fields at the Government Office, Hanoi Party Committee, and National Assembly Office such as: Deputy Director of the General Department, Director of the General Economic Department, Secretary of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister; Assistant to the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.
From September 2021 until his appointment as Deputy Inspector General of the Government, Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong held the position of Assistant to the Chairman of the National Assembly.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Inspector General Doan Hong Phong, on behalf of the Government Inspectorate leadership, congratulated the new Deputy Inspector General and emphasized: This is an important event for the Government Inspectorate in particular and the Inspection sector in general in the context that the whole sector has been urgently making efforts and striving to complete all tasks assigned by the Party and State in 2023.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Party Committee, the Government Inspectorate leadership, the Inspector General would like to thank the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government, the Prime Minister, and the Central ministries and branches for their attention, leadership, direction, support, and facilitation for the Government Inspectorate to successfully complete all tasks, especially in the work of organizing staff, and to date, have fully completed the Deputy Inspector General of the Government according to regulations.
The Inspector General emphasized: Comrade Nguyen Van Cuong is well-trained, has work experience, has held many positions in many agencies and units, especially a long time as Secretary, Assistant to the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the National Assembly, has demonstrated his qualities and abilities.
In the coming time, comrade Nguyen Van Cuong in his new position, as Deputy Inspector General, is assigned to lead and direct the implementation of State management tasks in the areas under the functions and tasks of the Government Inspectorate and directly direct the inspection work, receive citizens, resolve complaints and denunciations, prevent corruption and negativity. The Inspector General requests that comrade Nguyen Van Cuong needs to demonstrate a firm stance, viewpoint, and political will. Always be enthusiastic with a high sense of responsibility, make great efforts, and be determined with new work and tasks.
“With unity, solidarity and unity, together with the Party Executive Committee and the Government Inspectorate leadership, we will overcome difficulties and challenges, strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks, and contribute to the building and development of the Inspectorate sector,” said the Inspector General.
The Inspector General also requested that the leaders of the Government Inspectorate coordinate closely, comprehensively and effectively; the leaders of departments, divisions and units advise and help comrade Nguyen Van Cuong - Deputy Inspector General to complete assigned tasks, especially in solving difficult, important and complicated issues in the fields of work of the Government Inspectorate.
In his acceptance speech, the new Deputy Inspector General Nguyen Van Cuong thanked the Secretariat, the Party Central Committee, the Government, the Prime Minister, the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Inspection Committee, the Central Internal Affairs Committee, and the Ministry of Home Affairs for their trust in assigning him the task.
In particular, I would like to thank Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo member, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Delegation, and Chairman of the National Assembly for his attention, help, guidance, and training over the past time.
New Deputy Inspector General Nguyen Van Cuong also thanked Inspector General Doan Hong Phong, the Party Committee of the Government Inspectorate, and the leaders of the Government Inspectorate for trusting and choosing him to accompany him in shouldering the tasks of the Inspectorate.

Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong affirmed that he will strive to do his best, constantly cultivate, train and learn to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
