From more than 10,300 participating photos and videos, the Organizing Committee of the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024" selected 60 videos and 150 best photos to display at the exhibition, of which 34 best works were awarded.

On December 5, at the press conference to announce the awards of the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024", the representative of the Organizing Committee informed that at 8:00 p.m. on December 11, at the Hanoi Opera House, the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists will hold the opening ceremony of the exhibition and announce the awards of the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024". The event will be broadcast live on VTV4 Foreign Television Channel of Vietnam Television, livestreamed on VTV Digital channel and on the Vietnam Image Promotion Platform (https://vietnam.vn). This is the second time the contest has been held, a vivid demonstration of the deep concern and consistent policy of our Party and State towards the work of caring for the material and spiritual life of the people, taking the people as the center, in the spirit of "leaving no one behind" and creating all favorable conditions for people to participate, contribute, promote their capacity and intelligence in the cause of building, developing, protecting the Fatherland and international integration of the country. At the same time, the contest also creates opportunities for people across the country, overseas Vietnamese and international friends to express their love for their homeland and country and their enthusiasm in creating photos and videos to promote the image of the country and Vietnamese people to the world, arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy nation, promoting cultural values and the strength of the Vietnamese people in the new era. After nearly 7 months of launching, from March 20, 2024 until the deadline for receiving works on October 15, 2024, the contest has attracted a total of 6,863 authors with 10,327 photo and video works, including 9,657 photo works and 670 video works, an increase of more than 40% of the total number of works compared to the first year the contest was held. Among the participating authors, there are 581 international authors, 265 Vietnamese authors abroad with nearly 1,000 works and more than 50% of the authors have participated in the contest in 2023.

After many days of serious and fair work, the Jury and Organizing Committee selected 60 best videos and 150 photos to display at the exhibition, of which 34 best works were awarded. Each work is an interesting story, an impressive moment or a meaningful message about love for the homeland and country, with pride, love and aspiration for a prosperous and happy life throughout the S-shaped strip of land of Vietnam. The total value of the awards for both photo and video categories is up to nearly 400 million VND, including: 2 Gold Medals; 4 Silver Medals; 6 Bronze Medals and 20 Consolation Prizes. Prize value: Gold Medal 70 million VND; Silver Medal 20 million VND; Bronze Medal 10 million VND; Consolation Prize 5 million VND and other secondary prizes. According to Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of External Information, Ministry of Information and Communications, after the award ceremony, the selected works will continue to be exhibited domestically and internationally, serving the communication work to promote Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights in 2025. Among them, there will be an overseas exhibition held in Thailand from December 23-27.
