In the article "Is Trang Bread a copycat version of Huynh Hoa Bread?", Tuoi Tre Online cites questions and speculations from many diners regarding the two bread brands that are "making waves" on culinary forums.
Mr. Quang Huy, co-founder of Trang bakery, answered Tuoi Tre Online about the controversies that have occurred in recent times.
Vietnamese bread has many varieties.
Mr. Huy said he was Mrs. Hoa's ex-husband and the former owner of Huynh Hoa bakery.
He affirmed: "I just tell the truth, when people ask, I answer, there are still pictures of me on the news sites from before.

If we say my bread is a copycat, it's not very objective. If so, why not say that Mrs. Huynh's bread is a copycat of Huynh Hoa's bread first?
There are many types of Vietnamese bread, but they are all built on a certain foundation, so they are commonly called Vietnamese bread on the world culinary map.
According to Mr. Huy, if you want to clarify whether the bread filling is different or not, the most impartial way is to try all types of bread and compare.
In fact, the choice of raw materials and the way of making sausages, pate, butter or char siu are the differences.
Mr. Huy also said that if a food brand really imitates, it will be sued.
“With bread, the filling is also all kinds of sausage.
The important thing is when combining all the toppings together, it creates the unique flavor of each loaf or not, not saying who copied who. For example, between Coca and Pepsi, it cannot be said that there is a copy" - he explained.
Sharing about whether Trang bread is following the famous Huynh Hoa brand to advertise "dirty", Mr. Huy said that currently there are still many people who have tried and commented fairly on all three types of Huynh Hoa, Ba Huynh and Trang bread.
Everyone has their own taste so you can't say one depends on the other to become famous.
The owner of Trang sandwich shop said: "Some people say Trang is better, some say Trang is worse, however we always happily accept it and continue to do our best.
I would be happy if customers had more choices. At the end of the day, they are the only ones we are targeting."

Customers say Trang's bread is too big.
In the review clip of TikToker @binbunne, when asked if Trang bread is a "copycat" version of Huynh Hoa bread, the man in the clip said:
"The meat, sausage, pate, and butter at Huynh Hoa are made by you. Of which, pate is the core ingredient, and you also make it. So why would you copy it?"
Many diners think that Trang's bread is big enough for two to three people to eat - Photo: FB Trang's bread
Reader Minh commented under the article Is Trang bread a copycat version of Huynh Hoa bread? on Tuoi Tre Online :
"I think all sandwiches are the same. It depends on the customer's taste and how much topping they want to add."
Some other readers also commented that the Trang bread was so big that two people could not finish it. Perhaps, those who can eat a lot will like it.
Reader Thien Le thinks that the reason why these sandwiches are so expensive is because they contain a lot of meat and sausage, and the flavor is not very good.
And the account leho****@gmail.com explains why some shops make big and many sandwiches:
"Like Huynh Hoa bread, it wasn't that big before, but due to the demand of Western customers, it was gradually upgraded to a "huge" size to meet the needs of tourists. We have to understand the core of the problem, it's not that people suddenly made it so big and in such quantity."
