The ship is five times the size of the Titanic and cost nearly $2 billion to build, designed to accommodate nearly 10,000 people, including about 7,600 guests and 2,350 crew.
When arriving at the Port of Miami, the first thing that catches the eye of visitors is the intricate yet colorful waterslides that sit atop the 20-story Icon of the Seas. Other cruise ships in the port pale in comparison to this giant ship.

The location for all the action and adventure on board is Thrill Island, where guests can find the world’s largest water park at sea. There are 6 large water slides, including a decompression slide. It is said to be the first free-fall slide at sea.
Another feature on Thrill Island is Crown's Edge, which is like a skywalk but with obstacles and a zipline mixed in. Basically, participants are held by ropes and attached to railings, before having to step onto the skywalk, which is about 16m above sea level.
Those with a fear of heights may want to skip this one and instead check out Thrill Island's other amenities, which include miniature golf, a jogging track, and sports courts for basketball, volleyball, and more.
The three-story Chill Island neighborhood is home to four of Icon of the Seas' seven pools (the Royal Cove is said to be the largest at sea). There are also nine whirlpools located throughout the area, as well as the Cove Pool (an infinity pool) and Swim & Tonic, Royal Caribbean's first swim-up bar at sea.
The Hideaway at Deck 15 is an adults-only area featuring the first suspended infinity pool over the sea.

There are a total of 28 room types on board. The most expensive, however, is the Ultimate Family Townhouse – a three-story apartment that sleeps six people and features an indoor slide and trampoline, a movie theater, a karaoke room, a private yard, two balconies, and other amenities. Despite costing up to $80,000 a week, it’s already sold out for the entire 2024 season.
