Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai has just issued a document announcing the assignment of the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee to monitor and direct the resolution of pending projects, stop construction, urgently deploy, complete, and put into use to prevent waste and loss.
This is an opportunity for projects to be revived when there are projects that have been "shelved" or stuck in planning for several years to decades.
"Naming" backlog projects, fighting waste

The Binh Quoi - Thanh Da urban area project is considered a "super project" that has been suspended for more than 3 decades. This project has a scale of up to 427 hectares, including the entire Thanh Da peninsula.
Up to now, the Binh Quoi - Thanh Da project is still in the stage of waiting for new planning ideas.

Standing Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Duong Ngoc Hai was assigned to monitor, direct the settlement and implementation of inspection and examination conclusions, cases and verdicts. These include the land plot at 8-12 Le Duan, the land plot at 2-4-6 Hai Ba Trung and the Sing-Viet project.
Notably, the prime land plot with an area of nearly 5,000m² at 8-12 Le Duan, due to being involved in a case of illegal land allocation and leasing, has been "inactive" for many years, with part of the land being used as a parking lot. The land plot at 2-4-6 Hai Ba Trung (District 1) with an area of more than 6,080m² has also been abandoned for many years due to violations related to the transfer of public land.
Currently, both lands have been recovered and managed by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
