According to the results of the 2024 Population and Housing Census announced by the General Statistics Office, people in Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Da Nang have the highest life expectancy, with 76.7 points. This figure is higher than the preliminary figure of 2023, which was 76.4 years and 76.3 years, respectively.
Women in Ba Ria - Vung Tau live up to 79.4 years old while men live 74.2 years; both are the highest in Vietnam.
People in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Dong Nai also have a life expectancy far exceeding the national average. In these three localities, the average life expectancy is 76.6 years.
Previously, preliminary data for 2023 on life expectancy announced by the General Statistics Office showed that Ho Chi Minh City is the locality with the highest life expectancy in the country at 76.5 years; followed by Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, and Da Nang.
In 2023, Hanoi people have a life expectancy of 76.1 years.
