Today, March 27, Quang Tri Provincial Police held a conference to review the police work in the first quarter of 2024 and summarize the peak period of attacking and suppressing crime, ensuring security and order for the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin - 2024.

In the first quarter of 2024, the police of units and localities closely followed to effectively implement the plans and directions of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the leaders of the Provincial Police; proactively developed plans, resolutely implemented professional measures, and strongly fought against all types of crimes.
Investigated and discovered nearly 100 criminal cases, arrested and processed more than 200 subjects; arrested more than 220 cases with nearly 230 subjects violating economic and position laws; discovered and arrested nearly 70 cases with nearly 100 subjects illegally storing, trading and transporting drugs; discovered 90 cases/100 individuals violating environmental laws; discovered more than 6,700 cases of traffic law violations...
In particular, during the peak period of attacking and suppressing crime, with the spirit of resolute suppression right from the first days of the campaign, the police of all units and localities mobilized maximum forces and means, established special working groups, patrolled and controlled all night, all year round, closely following key routes and areas with complicated security and order issues.
The organization launched a mass movement to protect national security in many locations and residential areas, raising the spirit of denouncing crimes. Thanks to that, the work of attacking and suppressing crimes achieved many outstanding results, criminal, economic, and drug crimes were effectively prevented and controlled; traffic order and safety were basically guaranteed...
Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai, Director of the Provincial Police Department, highly appreciated the results achieved by the entire force in the first quarter of 2023 and in implementing the peak period of attacking and suppressing crime, ensuring security and order to protect the Lunar New Year.
In the coming time, the provincial police force needs to promote the achieved results, continue to closely follow the key work programs and assigned targets to ensure progress; proactively prevent and grasp the situation to ensure political security, social order and safety.
Effectively deploy professional measures, focus on effectively combating all types of crimes and social evils, especially drug and criminal crimes; continue to accelerate the implementation of Project 06/CP and digital transformation in the people's police; effectively implement Resolution 12 of the Politburo, Resolution 04 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on "Promoting the building of a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, modern people's police force, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation".
Recognizing the efforts of the entire force in implementing the peak period, the Provincial Police Director awarded certificates of merit to 14 groups and 23 individuals with outstanding achievements.
