The General Department of Taxation requests Tax Departments to disseminate the 2% VAT reduction.

Previously, on June 30, the Government issued Decree 72 regulating the VAT reduction policy according to Resolution 142 of the National Assembly.

Accordingly, Decree 72 stipulates a 2% reduction in VAT from 10% to 8% for a number of groups of goods and services. This policy is applied from July 1 to December 31.

At the same time, the Decree also clearly stipulates the content of declaration and determination of VAT difference in the period subject to 8% VAT.

On this basis, the General Department of Taxation requests the Tax Departments to jointly propagate and disseminate to taxpayers in the area to promptly implement Decree 72.
