On the afternoon of November 19, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam received Mr. Jadamba Enkhbayar, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, Chairman of the Mongolian Subcommittee of the bilateral Intergovernmental Committee, on the occasion of his visit to Vietnam and co-chairing the 19th Session of the Vietnam-Mongolia Intergovernmental Committee.

At the meeting, General Secretary To Lam welcomed Mr. Jadamba Enkhbayar leading the Mongolian Government delegation to visit Vietnam; highly appreciated the visit taking place in the context of the two countries celebrating the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and the two sides having just upgraded their relationship to Comprehensive Partnership.

General Secretary To Lam respectfully conveyed his thanks to President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, the leaders and people of Mongolia, recalling the impressions and good results of his State visit to Mongolia last October.

General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the achievements that Mongolia has made in recent times; expressed his belief that the Government and people of Mongolia will successfully implement the strategic goals of “Vision 2050”; and enhance the role and position of Mongolia in the region and internationally.

Regarding Vietnam-Mongolia relations, the General Secretary expressed his delight at the developments in bilateral relations over the past 70 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations; highly appreciated the organization of the 19th Meeting of the Vietnam-Mongolia Intergovernmental Committee by both sides, which is of great significance in implementing the high-level common perception and the Joint Statement on the establishment of the Vietnam-Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership.

General Secretary To Lam suggested that on the basis of the new level of bilateral relations, the two sides need to further strengthen political, security, defense, economic-trade, cultural, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges; promote substantive and effective cooperation in areas suitable to the potential and strengths of each country.

Minister Jadamba Enkhbayar respectfully thanked General Secretary To Lam for taking the time to receive the delegation; conveyed the regards and best wishes of Mongolian President Khurelsukh to General Secretary To Lam on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (November 17, 1954 - November 17, 2024).

The Minister highly appreciated the success of the State visit to Mongolia by General Secretary and President To Lam, which opened a new page in the bilateral relationship with the two sides issuing a Joint Statement upgrading the relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership.

Minister Jadamba Enkhbayar congratulated the great achievements that the Party, State and People of Vietnam have achieved under the leadership of General Secretary To Lam.

Minister Jadamba Enkhbayar affirmed that Mongolia always treasures the good traditional friendship between the two countries, and considers Vietnam a leading important partner in Asia, and Mongolia's third neighboring country; he expressed his high agreement with General Secretary To Lam's opinions on major measures to promote the two countries' relations in depth in the coming time.

Minister Jadamba Enkhbayar affirmed that, in his capacity as Chairman of the Mongolian Sub-Committee of the Vietnam-Mongolia Intergovernmental Committee, he will make efforts to coordinate with relevant Vietnamese agencies to continue to further promote bilateral cooperation in all fields./.
