Strengthening a stronger social foundation to promote Vietnam-China relations

At the meeting, both sides highly appreciated the positive developments in the relations between the two Parties and the two countries in recent times; agreed that under the direction and strategic orientation of the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries and the joint efforts of the ministries, branches and localities of the two countries, the Vietnam-China relationship is constantly being promoted in depth, reaping many achievements in cooperation in various fields, in which people-to-people exchanges take place regularly and closely, consolidating the connection and friendship between the people of the two countries, raising awareness of the bilateral relationship among all social classes, especially the young generation.

Notably, in January 2025, the Vietnamese Embassy in China and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries successfully coordinated to organize the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the two countries in Beijing, which was the "opening" activity, creating an exciting atmosphere for the series of activities to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the two countries and the Year of Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange.

Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam always attach importance to consolidating and enhancing the friendly and cooperative relations with the Party, State and people of China; consider developing relations with China a top priority and a strategic choice in foreign policy; emphasize that consolidating a “more solid social foundation” is one of the six major directions to promote Vietnam-China relations agreed upon by the leaders of the two sides.

Ambassador Pham Thanh Binh expressed his readiness to work with the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries to effectively implement the common understanding between the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two countries, prepare and serve well high-level exchange activities, promote people-to-people exchange activities and friendly cooperation between the two sides, contributing to enhancing understanding, friendship and practical cooperation between the people and localities of the two countries.

President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Yang Wanming affirmed that he is ready to coordinate with the Vietnamese Embassy in China and relevant agencies of Vietnam to inherit and promote the achievements, well organize friendly exchange activities within the framework of the high-level exchange program between the two sides; support localities of the two countries to strengthen friendly cooperation; promote exchanges between people, especially the young generation of the two countries in bilateral and multilateral activities on humanistic exchange, contributing to deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, building a China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future of strategic significance.
