On the afternoon of December 5, General Secretary To Lam and the Central working delegation and leaders of Binh Thuan province inspected the construction site of Nuclear Power Plant 1 in Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district.
Continuing the working program in Ninh Thuan province, General Secretary To Lam and the Central delegation visited the people of Bau Truc pottery village (Ninh Phuoc district), and surveyed the field where Nuclear Power Plant 1 is planned in Vinh Truong village, Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district.

At Vinh Truong village, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, quickly reported on the current status of land use in the project area and the planning of component projects of the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project.
Accordingly, the total construction area of Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plant 1 and 2 is more than 1,642 hectares. Particularly, Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plant 1 has a construction area of nearly 884 hectares, of which the land area is more than 443 hectares.
The area used at sea is more than 440 hectares; there are 477 households/2,084 people subject to resettlement to implement the project.
The working group conducted a survey in Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district.
At the inspection session, the General Secretary directed the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province to promptly carry out project procedures, site clearance, report to the Government for consideration, approval and capital allocation, ensuring progress and efficiency.
He suggested that Ninh Thuan province closely follow the direction of the Central Government, and the guidance and support of ministries and branches to prepare well the conditions for restarting the project. When there are enough resources, it is necessary to deploy immediately to promote efficiency.
In particular, it is necessary to proactively focus on implementing compensation, site clearance, investment in essential infrastructure, arrangement of resettlement areas, production land... to stabilize the lives of people affected by the project.
At the same time, promote propaganda and dissemination work to create high consensus and unity among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life during the implementation process.
In Phuoc Dinh commune, General Secretary To Lam attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a multi-purpose training house and auxiliary items of Phuoc Dinh kindergarten in Son Hai 1 village.

Visiting and surveying the Ca Na General Port project, General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the planning and investment work. He commented: with appropriate investment and development orientation, in the future, Ca Na General Port will have great room for development, creating a driving force contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
"Ninh Thuan province and investors continue to mobilize investment resources to develop Ca Na general port into a large-scale deep-water port, to serve not only Ninh Thuan but also Binh Thuan and the Southern Central Highlands region," the General Secretary emphasized.
