The Party Central Committee has just issued Resolution of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.
Accordingly, the 8th Central Conference approved the basic contents of the documents. These are the Resolution on the Strategy for National Defense in the new situation; Resolution on continuing to innovate and improve the quality of social policies to meet the requirements of national construction and defense in the new period; Resolution on continuing to build and promote the role of intellectuals to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable national development in the new period; Resolution on continuing to promote the tradition of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly rich, prosperous, civilized and happy.
The Central Committee assigned the Politburo to base on the discussion opinions and the Politburo's report on acceptance and explanation to direct the acceptance and completion of the above resolutions and direct the promulgation, organization and implementation.

In addition, the Central Committee approved the basic content of the conclusion on the socio-economic situation in 2023 - 2024. In particular, the Central Committee assigned the Politburo to base on the discussion opinions and the Politburo's acceptance and explanation report to direct the acceptance and completion of the conclusion.
The Politburo directed the Government Party Committee to complete the report on the socio-economic situation and state budget in 2023; the 2024 plan, the 3-year financial and state budget plan for 2024-2026 and the roadmap for implementing the new salary regime to be submitted to the 6th session of the 15th National Assembly for consideration and decision.
The Central Committee decided to establish five sub-committees to prepare for the 14th National Party Congress.
Specifically, the Document Subcommittee, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, is tasked with drafting a political report and a summary report on the achievements and results of 40 years of renovation (1986 - 2026) to be presented to the 14th Party Congress.
In addition, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is also the Head of the Personnel Subcommittee. The Personnel Subcommittee is responsible for developing a direction for personnel work for the Central Executive Committee; a plan to introduce personnel for the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and key leadership positions of the Party for the 2026-2031 term; and reporting on personnel work for the new Central Executive Committee to the 14th National Party Congress.
The Socio-Economic Subcommittee, headed by Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, is tasked with developing a report on the implementation of the 10-year socio-economic development strategy (2021 - 2030); developing a 5-year socio-economic development plan for the 2026 - 2030 period to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.
The Party Charter Subcommittee, headed by Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission Truong Thi Mai, is responsible for developing and reporting on the Party building work for the past 5 years (2021 - 2025) and the Summary Report on the implementation of the Party Charter and supplementing and amending the Party Charter.
Ms. Truong Thi Mai is also Head of the Congress Organization Subcommittee, responsible for developing a plan to organize, implement and serve the 14th Party Congress.
Also at this conference, the Central Committee considered and gave opinions on the introduction of personnel planning for the Central Executive Committee for the 2026-2031 term for the Politburo to consider and decide according to its authority....
In addition, the Central Committee also approved a number of contents related to personnel work; approved the Politburo's report on important tasks that the Politburo has resolved since the mid-term Central Conference (7th Central Conference) to the 8th Central Conference and a number of key tasks until the 9th Central Conference of the 13th term...
The Central Executive Committee calls on the entire Party, people and army to promote the tradition of solidarity and unity, strive, seize opportunities to overcome all difficulties and challenges, and be determined to successfully carry out the socio-economic development tasks in 2023 and the following years.
At the same time, effectively organize the implementation of the resolutions and conclusions of the 8th Central Conference, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
