Martial arts groups march to the Martial Arts Temple relic

"The First Quintessence of Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival - Hue 2025" organized by the Hue Festival Organizing Committee in collaboration with the Institute of National Culture Development and MicViet Management and Communication Joint Stock Company, is the kick-off event for a series of events to celebrate the National Tourism Year in Hue and the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of Hue City.

The Quintessence of Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival attracts the attention of martial arts groups and sects from all over the country.

Taking place on March 21 and 22, the Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival begins with the incense offering ceremony of the Martial Arts Associations at The Mieu, the parade from the Imperial Citadel to Nghinh Luong Dinh, the martial arts parade on the Perfume River, the ceremony of announcing the Martial Arts Saints and Martial Arts at the Vo Mieu relic of the Martial Arts Associations. The highlight is the "Opening Ceremony of the First Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival" at Ngo Mon Square on the evening of March 21.

The festival also includes exchange activities, performances, and duels of martial arts schools - where martial arts groups exchange and share experiences in martial arts; a discussion on "Traditional martial arts in educating the younger generation" on the afternoon of March 22, which attracted many opinions and discussions from martial arts masters and researchers about the role and position of martial arts in educating the younger generation.

According to the Organizing Committee, the activities within the framework of the Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival attracted the attention of martial arts groups and schools from all over the country, audiences, tourists, especially martial arts lovers; showing the appeal of Vietnamese martial arts to the public.

Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center Hoang Viet Trung said that the success of the first Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival will be the premise for the next ones to be better organized. Through this Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival, the Organizing Committee hopes to contribute to reviving martial arts relics in Hue such as Vo Mieu, Xien Vo Tu... associated with daily martial arts activities, making Hue a destination for the martial arts community in particular and for all people; aiming to build the Vietnamese Martial Arts Festival into a methodically organized annual activity, gathering many martial arts groups and schools around the world.

Earlier in the afternoon of the same day, at Ngo Mon Square - Hue Imperial City, there was an exchange program, a performance, and a duel performance of martial arts schools participating in the Festival.

Young martial artist performs martial arts with beautiful form

A large crowd of audiences, spectators, and tourists present at Ngo Mon Square enjoyed watching each unique and impressive martial arts performance. Especially the martial arts performance by the young martial artists.

Held for the first time, the “Vietnamese Martial Arts Quintessence Festival” attracted the participation of 18 units, which are martial arts schools from martial arts schools across the country. Notably, there are martial arts schools such as Vo Kinh Van An, Karatedo Nghia Dung, Vovinam Hue city; Vo Vuong Quyen Viet Nam, Nguyen Gia Vo Dao, Uy Long Mon, Vu Long Quyen; Phung Gia Vo Phai, Binh Dinh Gia Bac Ninh; Mai Long Duong; Vo Ta - Ho Quyen Dao; Duong Xuan Duong…
