In recent days, information that Yuan Bingyan and related companies had to pay a fine of more than 4 million yuan (equivalent to 600,000 USD or 14 billion VND) for tax evasion has become the focus of attention on Chinese social networks.

According to the Chongqing Municipal Taxation Bureau (China), Yuan Bingyan was reminded, supervised to correct, and scheduled to meet to warn about tax risks. However, the actress has not completely corrected the problem, causing the authorities to conduct an inspection.

The investigation agency discovered that Vien Bang Nghien did not declare taxes according to regulations, underpaid personal income tax, and used part of her personal spending money to illegally spend at businesses under her name... The company under the actress's ownership was also discovered to have underpaid value-added tax and corporate tax...

The amount of money that Vien Bang Nghien had to pay in fines was 2,973,800 NDT (nearly 10 billion VND) and the company owned by the actress was charged 1,329,800 NDT (more than 4 billion VND).

According to Sina, during the inspection, the actress and the company actively cooperated, returned a total of 4,303,600 NDT (more than 14 billion VND), and proactively reported tax violations.

Immediately after the news of Yuan Bingyan’s tax evasion broke out, her Weibo social media account disappeared. Many TV stations and brands in China also removed images and information related to the actress.

Yuan Bingyan has been suspected of tax evasion since July last year. Specifically, the company in which Yuan Bingyan is a major shareholder, executive director and manager, was fined 978,000 yuan (nearly 3.3 billion VND) for tax evasion. Before the company was notified of its illegal behavior, Yuan Bingyan had withdrawn from the company.

Since July last year, Vien Bang Nghien has been inactive and has faced a wave of criticism from the Chinese public. After the incident, she was allowed to keep her personal page, but the videos she posted recently were quickly deleted.

Yuan Bingyan (born 1992) is a new generation TV actress loved in China. She is famous for films such as Flying Knife Again Seeing Flying Knife, Returning to the Beginning of the Yangling Story, Old Nine Gates, Xiang Ye, Listening to Snow Tower, and Zhu Qinghao.

In 2020, thanks to the success of the TV project Liu Ly My Nhan Sat , the 9X generation beauty was ranked among the young and talented artists, stars sought after by brands. Vien Bang Nghien's career took off overnight after nearly 10 years of being quiet with obscure supporting roles.

In the Chinese entertainment industry, tax evasion has cost artists dearly. Before Yuan Bingyan, many Chinese entertainment stars were discovered to have evaded taxes, such as Deng Lun, Zheng Shuang, and Fan Bingbing, who were all banned from broadcasting, deleted from social media, and listed as disreputable artists.

In 2018, famous star Fan Bingbing was fined nearly $130 million for tax evasion. For the past 5 years, she has been able to keep her social media pages but cannot work in the Chinese entertainment industry. The beauty can only participate in small events, and works with Fan Bingbing's participation are not shown in China.

In 2021, Zheng Shuang was fined $46 million, banned from broadcasting forever, and had her personal accounts on social media platforms in China deleted for tax evasion. She moved abroad and accepted that she could not return to China to work.

Last year, actor Dang Luan was also banned from broadcasting and fined 106 million yuan (over 353 billion dong) for creating "ghost" books and "ghost" companies to avoid paying taxes. From being an A-list star sought after by many brands and producers, Dang Luan has completely disappeared from Chinese social networks and media for nearly a year.
