Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) is purchased at 138,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND compared to yesterday. Dak Nong pepper price today is recorded to decrease to 136,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, it is currently at 137,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday; in Binh Phuoc, pepper price today is at 137,000 VND/kg, an increase of 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices today, August 9, 2024, both domestically and internationally, have decreased. Currently, domestic coffee prices have decreased slightly by 300 VND, trading at 121,300 - 122,000 VND/kg. Specifically, in Lam Dong province, the three districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc and Lam Ha are trading at the same level of 121,300 VND/kg.

Compared to about a month ago, the price of chili peppers in many localities in the Mekong Delta and neighboring areas has increased sharply by 20,000-25,000 VND/kg and is at a record high since the beginning of the year.

The price of chili peppers has increased because many small traders and businesses are increasing their purchases for export, especially to the Chinese market.
Currently, supply in many localities has also decreased sharply because farmers have reduced their planting area and the productivity of many chili gardens has also decreased due to pests and adverse weather factors.

Lemon trees are harvested all year round, with the main crop from May to August of the lunar calendar; the fruit crop from November to March of the following lunar year. With high productivity and stable prices, lemon trees have affirmed their position as a key crop and the right direction in the garden and hill economy of Duc Linh commune, Vu Quang (Ha Tinh).

A farmer in Cao Phong village, Duc Linh commune currently has more than 2 hectares of lemons, with nearly 800 trees. For over a week, every morning, he and his family members have been rushing up the hill to harvest lemons, selling about 300-500 kg each day.
Since the beginning of the season, their family has harvested more than 8 tons. Despite the hot weather, the lemons still grow well, the fruits are big and beautiful, so the price is good. They estimate that 2 hectares of lemons this season will yield nearly 36 tons of fruit, bringing in a revenue of more than 300 million VND.
Nghe An black star fruit crop fails, price increases by 20,000-40,000 VND/kg
These days, people in Thanh Chuong, Nghe An are harvesting black canarium. This year's canarium crop is poor, in short supply, and prices are higher than last year. People in Thanh Chuong have been harvesting black canarium for a week now. Compared to previous years, this canarium season is harvested later, only two on the 15th of July.
According to local people, this year's canarium crop is poor, the trees produce little fruit, or even no fruit. A long-time canarium climber in Vo Liet commune (Thanh Chuong) said: Many canarium trees in previous years, each tree produced several hundred kilograms of fruit, this year only produced a few hundred kilograms of fruit, the yield is only 1/10 of previous years.

There was a canarium garden that cost 35 million VND when the trees first bloomed, but now they only harvested about 150 kg of fruit.
Thanh Chuong black star fruit has a bad harvest, causing prices to rise. The price of star fruit imported at purchasing facilities in Thanh Chuong district ranges from 105,000 - 110,000 VND/kg. Up to this point, almost all star fruit purchasing facilities are out of stock, because there are few star fruit, not yet ripe, and not enough to import. Black star fruit sold at Thanh Chuong rural markets costs from 120,000 - 140,000 VND/kg, about 20,000 - 40,000 VND/kg more expensive than in 2023.
