On the morning of May 26, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting with the Standing Committees of the People's Councils of districts and cities on the topic of Experience and solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of the People's Council's supervision of issues.

Since the beginning of the term, the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Council committees, the Standing Committee and the People's Council committees at district level have organized many thematic supervisions focusing on many areas such as: Implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks, implementation of a number of mechanisms and policies issued by the People's Council, compliance with laws in state management of investment, land, planning, natural resources, environment, culture, security and order, management of payroll, cadres and civil servants... The supervisions basically met the requirements on progress, quality and efficiency. However, some recommendations after supervision have not been promptly resolved by responsible agencies; the quality and efficiency of the People's Council's activities in some places are not regular and not thorough; some members of the supervision team have not fully participated due to having to hold concurrent positions...

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing the current situation of organization, implementation, and results of thematic supervision activities in the past time, and at the same time shared good and creative practices and valuable experiences in organizing activities of the Standing Committee of the People's Council, People's Council committees on selecting supervision content, developing supervision plans, organizing supervision activities, monitoring, urging the implementation of resolutions, conclusions, and recommendations after supervision...

Speaking at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized: The regular meeting is an opportunity for the Standing Committees of the People's Councils of districts and cities to learn and exchange experiences in order to better perform the functions and tasks of the People's Councils at all levels. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the quality of activities of the People's Council, the Standing Committee, the committees of the Provincial People's Council and the People's Councils of districts and cities, and at the same time pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in thematic supervision activities that need to be overcome immediately in the coming time.

He suggested that the Standing Committees of People's Councils at all levels proactively review, select, and develop programs and contents for regular, thematic, and ad hoc supervision that are accurate, appropriate, and in line with reality, and that are issues of public and voter concern. Continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of supervisions. After supervision, there must be conclusions and recommendations, and regular monitoring and urging of the resolution and implementation of issued conclusions and recommendations. If the units subject to supervision have not implemented the conclusions and recommendations or have not implemented them thoroughly, they must be questioned at People's Council meetings.

Comrade Dang Thanh Giang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, presented the rotating flag to the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Hung Ha district - the unit hosting the next meeting.

At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial People's Council presented flowers and the flag to host the next meeting to the Hung Ha District People's Council.
